Lead Heavy Duty Mechanic to join our team.
This position is responsible for maintaining / repairing heavy diesel equipment within the facility.

RESPONSIBILITIES- Ensuring that Health and Safety is the number one priority by complying with all safe work practices, policies, and processes and always acting in a safe manner.
- Complete and follow requirements of Field Level Hazard and Job Hazard assessments.
- Conducts Safety Checks & Annual Vehicle Inspections in accordance with provincial & federal laws.
- Perform thorough inspections (CVIP) of equipment and identify required repairs.
- Perform all required maintenance and repairs to various types of equipment, tanker tailers and heavy-duty trucks;
- Inspect and diagnose components and equipment for servicing needs.
- Perform maintenance which follows the manufacturer guidelines;
- Complete repair orders.
- Troubleshoot, diagnose and repair equipment and light and heavy duty vehicles.
- Communicate equipment servicing needs as required with Supervisor.
- Complete warranty information.
- Disassemble, inspect, fit and replace worn or broken parts.
- Carry out housekeeping duties.
- Complete all required documentation and in an accurate and timely manner.
QUALIFICATIONS- Licensed Mechanic Certification (310T license)
- 5 + years' experience in maintaining of one or more of the following units: pickup trucks, tractors, and trailers;
- Familiarity with the various types of diesel engines;
- Ability to oversee, coach and mentor all apprentices and other shop laborers;
- Ability to work in a team environment.
- Must be versed in all aspects e.g. electrical, computer, ECMs, fuel, air systems, ABS, hydraulic systems, engines etc.
- Ability or get or have DriveOn.
- Valid full drivers license.
