Intercept Security Services is currently hiring licensed Security Guards to join our Kelowna team. We are looking for reliable, professional, and safety-focused individuals who are committed to providing exceptional security services while treating everyone with dignity and respect.
This position is based at a homeless shelter and plays an important role in helping maintain a safe, welcoming, and respectful environment for residents, staff, visitors, and community partners.

Key Responsibilities
Conduct regular patrols of the property and access control.
Monitor the premises to help prevent theft, vandalism, damage, and unauthorized access.
Maintain accurate daily activity logs and incident reports.
Provide a professional and visible security presence.
Respond promptly and professionally to incidents, emergencies, and client requests.
Assist with conflict prevention and de-escalation when appropriate.
Help ensure the safety and well-being of residents, staff, visitors, and contractors.
Enforce site policies and procedures while maintaining professionalism and respect.
Qualifications
Valid BC Security Worker Licence (required).
Valid First Aid Certification.
Minimum one (1) year of experience working with vulnerable populations.
Access to a mobile phone.
Strong observation, communication, report writing, and problem-solving skills.
Ability to remain calm and exercise sound judgment in dynamic situations.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team.
