Election Officials Required for the Cowichan Valley Regional District 2026 General Local Election
The Cowichan Valley Regional District is seeking individuals to work as Election Officials for the upcoming General Local Election on October 17, 2026 and advance voting days October 7 and 13, 2026.
Election Officials are responsible for supporting voting opportunities in accordance with the Local Government Act and related election legislation. Duties include assisting electors, verifying eligibility, issuing ballots, and ensuring voting is conducted fairly, efficiently, and impartially.
Applicants must:
- Be legally entitled to work in British Columbia;
- Be responsible for their own transportation to and from their voting location;
- Attend mandatory training session;
- Be available to work on General Voting Day, or Advance Voting Days;
- Act in a non‑partisan and neutral manner;
- Follow written procedures and instructions; and
- Provide courteous professional service to the public.
Previous election experience is an asset but not required.
