Scope:
The Change Management Specialist works with internal groups to develop and deliver change strategies and supporting content that enable impacted stakeholders to successfully transition from their current state to a future state. This role supports both new project implementations and the ongoing sustainment enhancement and optimization of existing 1GX operations and functionalities.
Reporting to the Manager 1GX Business Excellence - Communications OCM and Training this position is responsible for the development and implementation of change management and communication deliverables that drive effective adoption sustained use and continuous improvement of the 1GX solution across the Government of Alberta.
The Change Management Specialist works with internal groups and creates strategies and content to effectively manage change deliverables that will enable impacted stakeholders to successfully transition from their current state to the future state. Reporting to the Reporting to the Manager 1GX Business Excellence - Communications OCM and Training this position is responsible for development and implementation of change management and communication activities and deliverables
Duties:
Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:
- Collaborate with project sponsors project teams operational teams vendors cross-functional teams and 1GX Change Network to ensure all project activities are completed.
- Collaborate with Program Manager in the development of project schedule plans and strategies estimate resource requirements develop and monitor work plans for completion of project tasks.
- Assist with risk management and issues management
- Build and deliver presentations relating to change management for various levels of the organization Executive Branch etc..
- Plan and facilitate meetings with management and other stakeholders as required.
- Conduct stakeholder identification and stakeholder analysis
- Assess and manage key stakeholders.
- Conduct gap analysis change impact analysis.
- Develop and implement effective change strategies and plans.
- Develop and implement effective communication plans.
- Develop communication materials.
- Develop and implement resistance management plans.
- Ensure information is communicated to impacted audiences throughout the duration of the project/program.
- Define and measure success metrics and monitor change progress.
- Identify risks and issues relating to change management functions.
- Conduct business and stakeholder readiness assessments.
- Proactively engage and lead relevant stakeholder engagement in support of ongoing 1GX adoption and sustainment.
- Provide specialized advice and support to ensure the consistent and effective application of change management methodology tools and approaches.
- Leverage approved digital collaboration and AIenabled tools where appropriate to support change analysis content development stakeholder engagement communications and reporting activities in alignment with Government of Alberta policies and standards.
- Ensure new technology solutions or applications are rolled out successfully and in a sustainable way.
- Writing compelling copy to create engaging communications.
- Understand the role of communication in change management - working to reposition organizational change and end user needs and expectations.
Equipment Requirements:
- GoA will supply laptop or desktop
Working Hours:
- Standard Hours of work are 08:15 - 16:30 Alberta time Monday through Friday excluding holidays observed by the Province
- Work must be done from within Canada due to network and data security issues.
Notes on Location:
- The expectation will be for the resource to work onsite from the office 5 days a Week

- This is a net new role.
- This position is currently vacant the Ministry seeks the best person to fill the role.

- The Supplier shall prior to commencement of the Services provide the Province on its request and at no cost to the Province with record checks.
Mandatory Training Courses:
- Once hired the resource will be required to complete all mandatory training which includes but not limited to Freedom of Information and Protection of Privacy Act and Security awareness training. There may also be some optional courses as well.

Aperçu du poste
Le ou la spécialiste principal(e) en gestion du changement travaillera avec diverses équipes internes afin de développer et de mettre en œuvre des stratégies de gestion du changement, de communication et d’engagement des parties prenantes. L’objectif est d’assurer une transition efficace vers les nouveaux processus et systèmes ainsi qu’une adoption durable de la solution 1GX au sein du gouvernement de l’Alberta.
Relevant du gestionnaire, Excellence opérationnelle 1GX – Communications, gestion du changement organisationnel (GCO) et formation, cette personne sera responsable de la planification, du développement et de l’exécution des activités et livrables de gestion du changement.
Responsabilités principales
- Élaborer et exécuter des stratégies et plans de gestion du changement.
- Réaliser l’identification, l’analyse et la gestion des parties prenantes.
- Effectuer des analyses d’impact du changement et des analyses d’écarts (gap analysis).
- Concevoir et mettre en œuvre des plans de communication.
- Développer du matériel de communication et des présentations exécutives.
- Élaborer des plans de gestion de la résistance au changement.
- Réaliser des évaluations de préparation organisationnelle et des parties prenantes.
- Définir et suivre les indicateurs de succès liés à l’adoption du changement.
- Identifier et gérer les risques et enjeux liés au changement.
- Faciliter des ateliers, réunions et séances de consultation.
- Conseiller les équipes de projet sur les meilleures pratiques de gestion du changement.
- Soutenir l’adoption continue et l’optimisation de la plateforme ERP 1GX.
- Utiliser des outils numériques et d’intelligence artificielle (Copilot, Gemini, etc.) pour appuyer les analyses, communications et rapports.
Exigences obligatoires
- Diplôme universitaire dans un domaine pertinent (commerce, communications ou équivalent).
- Certification reconnue en gestion du changement (Prosci, CCMP ou équivalent).
- Minimum de 5 ans d’expérience en :
- Développement de stratégies et plans de gestion du changement.
- Développement de programmes de préparation organisationnelle, de formation ou d’engagement des parties prenantes.
- Création et diffusion de communications à divers niveaux organisationnels.
- Minimum de 4 ans d’expérience en :
- Méthodologies et principes de gestion du changement.
- Gestion du changement dans des environnements ERP (finance, paie, RH, chaîne d’approvisionnement).
- Consultation, facilitation, gestion des relations et influence.
- Négociation et résolution de conflits.
Atouts
- Expérience dans le secteur public.
- Connaissance de la structure et du fonctionnement du gouvernement de l’Alberta.
- Expérience avec des plateformes d’adoption numérique.
- Expérience avec des outils d’IA comme Microsoft Copilot, Gemini ou NotebookLM.
