• Position: Sushi Chef
• Vacancy: One (1)
• Terms of employment: Full-time, Permanent
• Compensation: $22 per hour
• Working hours: 30 - 40 hours per week
• Benefits: 4% vacation pay / Free meals at work
Job Duties
• Prepare and complete Japanese foods such as sushi rolls, maki rolls, tempura, bento, etc.
• Plan and create new menus and various sauces
• Instruct cooks in preparation, cooking, garnishing and presentation of food
• Cook various deep-fried seafood and vegetable tempura and treat deep fry oils safely and dispose used oil in proper manner
• Be responsible for reflecting customers’ feedback
• Keep track of food expenditures, consumption, transactions, and stock levels.
• Analyze operational expenses and additional information.
• Ensure quality of food and determine size of food portions and estimate food requirements, costs
• Recruit, train and supervise cooks, kitchen helpers with respect to food preparation

Requirements
• Completion of secondary school
• Minimum 2 years of experience as a cook in a commercial restaurant (or) Completion of apprenticeship program for cooks (or) Completion of college or other program in cooking is required
