Eden Japanese Restaurant (DBA: Wasabi Sushi & Teriyaki House) serves Japanese foods in Regina, SK. Currently we are looking for a quality cook to join our restaurant. All applicants that seek a long term employment are welcome; including youth, aboriginals and new immigrants, etc. The hourly wage for this position shall be $ 17.

Duties and responsibilities: • Prepare and cook complete meals or individual dishes and foods. • Plan menus, determine size of food portions, estimate food requirements and costs, and monitor and order supplies. • Manage kitchen operations. • Inspect kitchens and food service areas. • Clean kitchen and work areas. • Train staff in preparation, cooking, and handling of food. • Order supplies and equipment. • Supervise kitchen staff and helpers. • Maintain inventory and records of food, supplies and equipment.

Requirements: • A minimum of one year of work experience in cooking. • Fast-paced environment/Handling heavy loads/Work under pressure/Repetitive tasks/Standing for extended periods/Overtime required/Physically demanding/Attention to detail • Must be a team player, flexible, reliable, and organized • Applicants who can work for at least one year are to be preferred. • Full-time job seekers are to be preferred.
