Senior Planning Analyst

Flexible work options are available; this position may be able to work up to two (2) days at home per week subject to an approved telework agreement. Employees of the BC Public Service must be located in BC at the time of employment.
$91,039.14 - $103,840.11 annually; which includes a 3.3% Market Adjustment
The University Endowment Lands (UEL) Development Services Team is a small, collaborative group of planning and building professionals dedicated to shaping a vibrant, sustainable community. Working on complex and evolving issues—from housing and transit-oriented development to climate change and reconciliation—the team plays a key role in guiding the UEL’s growth and stewardship.
As the Senior Planning Analyst, you will lead policy development and planning initiatives that advance provincial priorities such as affordable housing, climate action, and inclusive community growth in the UEL. This role offers a unique opportunity to work in a quasi-local government environment, influencing real-world development outcomes while collaborating closely with a diverse range of partners.

Qualifications for this role include
- Education and Experience Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Urban and/or Regional Planning or a related field (e.g. Architecture, Public Administration).
- Minimum five (5) years of progressively responsible planning experience.
- Qualified as a member in good standing, or with ability to become a member within six (6) months, of the Canadian Institute of Planners (CIP) and/or the Planning Institute of British Columbia (PIBC).
- Preference may be given to applicants with the following
- Eight (8) years or more of progressively responsible planning experience and/or direct local or provincial government planning experience.
- A Master’s degree in Planning or a related field.
