Position Purpose
The Market Research & Insights Team plays a pivotal role at IGM by ensuring our clients and advisors’ expectations are understood and embedded in every discussion, every interaction, and every decision. The team advocates for fact-based decision making, leveraging market, client, and advisor insights to inform growth plans.
This team is seeking a dynamic, self-starter, and strategic-minded individual as the Senior Manager, Market Research and Insights, reporting to the Director of Market Research & Insights. This role will be responsible for applying strong market research rigor in leading and executing research programs pertaining to Client and Advisor Experience, ensuring that business decisions are grounded in relevant insights.

You are a highly accomplished market research and insights expert, with a proven track record of successfully employing diverse research methodologies. Your reputation for collaboration, creative problem-solving, attention to detail, and the ability to extract meaningful insights from data precedes you.
Key Focus Areas: This role will center around two core areas:
Amplifying the Voice of Clients and Advisors: You will be the champion for ensuring client and advisor perspectives are heard and integrated across all organizational levels and initiatives.
Leading Client and Advisor Experience Measurement: From initial data discovery to final insights delivery, you will spearhead the execution of Client and Advisor Experience measurement surveys, ensuring impactful outcomes.

The responsibilities of this role include:
- Partner with teams across IGM to identify key business challenges and opportunities, designing and executing research to inform strategic actions.
- Uncover opportunities to elevate our approach to delivering the best possible customer experience, with the goal of instilling loyalty and triggering advocacy.
- Translate research findings into actionable insights, crafting compelling narratives that highlight the "so what" and "now what" for key stakeholders.
- Lead all phases of research projects, from brief development and research design to analysis, reporting, and insight delivery.
- Manage survey deployment, including programming, testing, data collection monitoring, and platform administration.
- Develop and maintain insightful reports and dashboards that consolidate data from various research projects, providing clear and actionable insights.
- Deliver impactful presentations of research findings to internal partners and senior leadership, tailoring content for specific audiences
Qualifications:
- University degree in Business, Marketing, Statistics, Data Science/Analytics, or a related field.
- 7+ years of experience in market research, within financial services and customer experience.
- A strong understanding of investor and advisor dynamics, as well as investment products, are an asset.
- Proficiency with customer experience management platforms such as Medallia or Qualtrics is required.
- Strong communication skills, with excellent writing and presentation skills to write insightful, story-telling reports and persuasive approach to presenting results
- Proficiency in research methods and approaches, with a proven ability to translate business requirements into technical research project specifications.
- Strong analytical skills, with the ability to convert data into actionable insights.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative environment and effectively manage multiple priorities.
