Wood is currently recruiting a Junior Document Controller to work in our St. John’s office on large scale brownfield offshore oil and gas projects.

The Role

As a Junior Document Controller, you will provide support to engineering projects by ensuring that the document control function is being performed in accordance with corporate procedures and project requirements in a timely and efficient manner.

Responsibilities

Supporting engineering projects through the management of project documentation
Ensuring that the document control function is being performed in accordance with corporate procedures and project requirements in a timely and efficient manner
Ensuring project schedules and client approved budgets are managed and met
Communicating effectively with the appropriate engineering disciplines including providing ongoing updates on status of work
Ensuring required filing and archiving of technical documents is done in a timely manner
Storing, securing, revising, retrieving, distributing, and archiving electronic and hard copy documents
Adhering to all HSEQ requirements within Document Control in accordance with Wood procedures and management systems
Assist with processing technical documentation for the core projects

Expected

Diploma from a post-secondary institution
Familiarization with Document Management systems
Ability to work independently, as well as within a team
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
Excellent organizational skills and keen attention to detail
Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines
Ability to take ownership of an assignment or task
Must be lawfully eligible to work in Canada without sponsorship from Wood
