Your Role
As the Director of Technology, you will lead the strategic planning, development, and execution of all technology initiatives to support our operations, enhance Guest experiences, and drive efficiency. Reporting to senior leadership, you will oversee a talented technology team and work closely with stakeholders across the organization.
Key Responsibilities
- Strategic Leadership: Develop and execute the technology strategy aligned with Tommy Gun's business objectives
- Team Management: Lead the internal and external technology team
- Software Development: Drive innovative software solutions, including internal systems, tools and integrations, and Guest-facing applications
- Infrastructure & Hardware Oversight: Ensure optimal performance and support of all hardware across our barbershops, office, and distribution centre
- Security: Oversee data security and IT risk management to protect sensitive information and maintain Guest trust
- Performance: Monitor and optimize high traffic applications, and safeguard IT reliability
- Drive innovations while maintaining consistency and existing resources
- Train and support various stakeholders with their IT requirements
- Vendor Relations: Manage relationships with technology partners, ensuring high-quality service and adherence to budgets
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work with other departments to implement tech solutions that enhance operational excellence and the Guest experience
Requirements
Qualifications
- Proven experience in technology-related roles, with a strong track record of success in leadership positions
- Expertise in software development, IT infrastructure, and security
- Strategic planning and project management skills
- Hands-on technical skills are an asset, including proficiency with modern software, coding, systems, and tools
- Stress resistance and solution oriented
- Familiarity with a Microsoft based tech stack
- Exceptional team leadership and mentoring abilities
- Adept at vendor management and contract negotiation
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, evolving environment
