Red Bull is looking for top-performing University students to work with our most creative Marketing, Content, and Social specialists! From day one, you’ll have the opportunity to dive deep into our social channels, take ownership of tasks, support projects and contribute based on your strengths and passions. As the Media Intern, you are an enthusiastic and native consumer in social platforms like TikTok, Instagram, and YouTube with a basic understanding of what engages you and others. You’ll also gain first-hand experience working on some of our most important marketing programs, including Events, Product Launches, Occasions Campaigns and Consumer Activations. You'll work with our Social and Content Specialists on the Media Network to build off our unique ownable persona/tone for our channels and background with an acute understanding of what's trending and how/when we show up with unique content programming on our social channels with an emphasis on narrative and storytelling. Responsibilities will vary, but at the end of the day this experience is what you make of it!

All the responsibilities we'll trust you with:
COMMUNITY MANAGEMENT
Ensures consistent, brand adequate, local, and inclusive tone of voice in comments, DM’s, and accounts Red Bull Canada follows and engages with on Instagram and TikTok. Engaging with DM’s; vetting consumer responses daily, with the intention to answer consumer inquiries with a minimum response time of 24 hours, regardless of channel. Audience Building and Management; Consistently audits current followers on Instagram and TikTok, and ensuring we are following Red Bull athletes, Red Bull vertical accounts, Red Bull artists and Creators with an affinity to the brand, along with relevant 3rd party partners and brands that fit our brand ethos and tonality. Audience Engagement; Consistently ensures engagement from Red Bull Canada (commenting, liking, feed scrolling) of Red Bull athletes, artists, vertical accounts, Creators and 3rd party partnership content; whether it is content in the newsfeed, discover feed, etc. Stay on top of cultural moments, platform trends, and upcoming Red Bull releases (Content, Events, Product launches, etc.) to create reactive opportunities for our community. Contributes to Community Management strategic planning for upcoming Red Bull releases, projects and events. Tracks above community engagement pillars on a weekly basis; providing the team with notable highlights and consistent reporting on community management activity (reporting structure to be defined in more detail). Consistently follows all planned activity across social channels with internal content management tools on a weekly basis to inform community engagement based on Red Bull releases.
SOCIAL MEDIA SUPPORT
Assist in ideating and executing social initiatives for Red Bull Canada’s events, projects and content series and tracking their performance. Research and stay up-to-date on social media trends and best practices across platforms to help inform Programming team’s strategy and social-first approach on channels. Collaborate across departments to ensure consistency in messaging and branding. Work with Programming team to identify key insights and analytics insights for social pages and posts. Proficiency and ability to provide regular reports on social media performance and insights. Assist in storyboarding and production of social media videos (proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite is a bonus). Other duties as assigned.
Your areas of knowledge and expertise that matter most for this role:
- Actively enrolled as an undergraduate in a university or college.
- Strong capabilities in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, and Word).
- Knowledge of Canadian Media landscape is an asset, but not necessary.
- Love and passion for social media and content: familiarity using Instagram, TikTok, Snapchat and YouTube.
- Ability to thrive in an entrepreneurial environment; self-starter, and able to work independently with confidence.
- Precise attention to detail with exceptional project and time management.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Creativity and ability to think outside the box.
- Bonus: Experience in video production, graphic design or related fields.
- Bilingual in English and French preferred.
