Job Description
As the Director of Environmental Services, you will assume overall accountability for establishing, growing, and sustaining the day-to-day operations of the regional division. This includes implementing service delivery and operating models, plans, and policies to achieve optimal operational and financial outcomes. Reporting to the Vice President of Environmental Services and Operational Delivery, you will play a critical role on the Senior Leadership Team (SLT), ensuring safe and successful client service delivery and contributing to the Client’s continued growth and success.
What would you be doing?
- Design and coach a high-performance team to enhance project delivery across operating groups.
- Collaborate with Business Development and Marketing to strengthen client relationships and drive growth in environmental services.
- Implement project controls, risk management, and procurement strategies to achieve the organization’s strategic priorities.
- Establish and enforce a proactive safety management system to promote a “Zero Injury” culture and ensure workplace health and safety.
- Coordinate and analyze key safety, performance, and MD&A metrics on projects, reporting regularly to the Executive Team.
- Collaborate with Operations, SCM, and Finance to enhance compliance and operational effectiveness, addressing key operational issues as needed.

Qualifications
- Holds a bachelor’s or master’s degree in environmental sciences, engineering, or a related discipline, with over 15 years of relevant consulting experience across various industries and 10 years in operations leadership.
- Demonstrates strong leadership skills, fostering collaboration and building effective relationships with stakeholders to promote safe and efficient project delivery.
- Inspires a cohesive team environment by aligning performance goals with FLINT’s values and developing actionable objectives for team members.
- Provides direction in resource allocation, prioritization, and work control in a fast-paced, multi-project environment.
- Applies conflict management skills to negotiate effectively and resolve issues while proactively solving problems and initiating change.
- Knowledgeable about environmental regulatory processes and guidelines, with eligibility for professional designation.
