The Marketing & Communications Coordinator is a key member of the Marketing team responsible for producing materials that communicate Mulvey & Banani’s corporate messaging and brand image. They will directly support the Marketing & Communications Manager in all internal and external marketing initiatives and will focus on digital marketing platforms, content creation, and copywriting. This role requires a high level of English proficiency, exceptional writing skills, and a strong understanding of the digital landscape. The coordinator will be responsible for meeting all deadlines, managing resources, and always ensuring a high level of attention to detail and quality of work.
Education & Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing/Communications (or related field)
- Relevant certifications or coursework, such as:
- Digital Marketing
- Content Marketing or SEO
- Social Media Marketing
- Public Relations or Corporate Communications
- 3-5 years of experience in a related role (ideally within Architecture, Engineering, or Design industries)
- Familiarity with the language of Architecture/Design/Engineering/Construction
Software & Programs
- Canva/Photoshop: Proficiency in modifying, adjusting, and altering images in Canva or Photoshop
- InDesign: Ability to create print-ready document layouts in InDesign
- MS Office Suite: Experience creating engaging templates in PowerPoint, Word, and Excel
- Analytics Tools: Understanding of Google Analytics and social media analytics to inform marketing and business strategies
- CMS Platforms: Experience using website CMS platforms such as WordPress, Advantage, etc.
- Email Campaign Platforms: Proficiency with tools like Mailchimp
- Social Media Management Platforms: Familiarity with platforms like Hootsuite or Later.com
- Project Management Tools: Experience using tools like Asana and/or Airtable is an asset

Roles & Responsibilities
Branding:
- Maintain current brand standards, and ensure correct use in all applications
- Develop and maintain marketing materials, office templates, website, and social media standards
Copywriting:
- Write compelling creative short and long form copy that includes but is not limited to project case studies, content narratives, staff announcements, social media content, award submissions, newsletters, blog posts, and media initiatives
- Be able to adapt material to suit specific projects and audiences
Social Media & Website:
- Assist in managing Mulvey & Banani’s website content, prepare visual assets, upload and edit as needed
- Assist in managing social media platforms across Instagram, LinkedIn and YouTube
- Create and edit high quality visual content, manage content schedule, track insights/analytics, and drive engagement
- Ability to identify trends and make recommendations for content based on our insights and current industry topics
Graphic Design & Visual Content Creation:
- Create visual marketing materials, including but not limited to website content, social media content, internal announcements/communications, newsletters, presentation templates, award submissions, and media-related initiatives
- Collaborate on photo and video editing tasks, such as adjusting colour/lighting, curating photo collections to create visual stories, and creating print-ready marketing documents
- Develop shot lists, video outlines, storyboards, and scripts to coordinate effectively with the in-house videographer/photographer
- Edit and create video assets for select projects, ensuring alignment with brand guidelines and messaging goals
Awards Programs:
- Research new award programs relevant to our industry
- Manage multiple award deadlines simultaneously
- Prepare and submit projects for consideration, includes photo editing and creative writing
General marketing:
- Organize marketing materials within the Marketing Drive
- Assist in developing market research and gathering intel to support marketing initiatives
- Assist with onboarding-related tasks, including maintaining and updating staff lists, coordinating the setup of email signatures, business cards, and digital signage for new hires
- Become familiar with the firm’s portfolio of work across all divisions and all sectors
- Assist with internal communications and engagement to support company culture
- Assist with charitable initiatives and external client related events
