The Purchasing and Receiving position is a key role in supporting the operation teams through the preparation of purchase orders, supporting with requisitions, obtaining price quotations, and working alongside suppliers. This position requires someone who is detail-oriented, has excellent organizational skills, and is a self-starter. This role also requires you to complete the organized town runs to our suppliers for collection of orders.

Skills You Bring With You
- Valid BC Driver’s license.
- Some experience with Microsoft software (Excel and Word).
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Must be able to work with minimal supervision.
Primary Responsibilities
- Purchasing of goods & services in response to appropriate requisitions from authorized personnel.
- Operating the shipping and receiving van for completion of town runs.
- Oversee the organization and management of SPR/SPG staff mail.
- Obtain price quotations from catalogues and suppliers and prepare purchase orders.
- Arrange for deliveries in the most economical way.
- Receive goods as necessary.
- Contact suppliers to resolve shortages, missed deliveries and other problems.
- Ensure documentation of received goods is complete.
- Keep the warehouse neat, tidy and organized.
- Keep the purchasing vehicle neat, tidy and in good working condition by liaising with Vehicle Maintenance department to ensure regular vehicle maintenance as necessary.
