Hi I am Josh, the Director of Production at Musora. We're an online music education brand on a mission to create more musicians and keep them playing longer.

Key Duties and Responsibilities
- Oversees and operates on all productions onsite and some remote shoots. Ensuring all productions are executed in a high-quality and efficient manner.
- Senior-level cinematography for high-profile productions and implementing a high-quality visual style for varying content types and shoots.
- Determining lighting, camera requirements, lens selections etc for each shoot.
- Setting up and operating production equipment including cameras, sliders, gimbals etc.
- Ensuring exposure and focus for cameras align with broadcast standards.
- Storyboarding and ideating new visual aesthetics that drive the story forward.
- Research and innovate new camera and lighting techniques to evolve our productions.
- Working with local brand ambassadors and internationally renowned guest artists in our shoots to capture lesson material and performances.
- Overseeing camera crew and maintaining a cohesive look across operators during principal photography.
- Ensures that the following are in good working order and if not, designing and implementing solutions for the following: camera equipment, lighting, lenses and tools.
- Responsible for overseeing and managing a team of Video Editors.
- Review and QC video edits for the team, providing constructive feedback.
- Media Asset Management: Responsible for handling and securely transferring of all raw and finalized footage. Ensuring no footage is lost.
- Preparation of media, including sync, assembly and project setup ahead of handing over to video editors.
- Artist Relations: Ensure you speak on behalf of Musora while interacting with artists, and maintaining a positive and professional environment.
- The role is exposed to confidential data including all of Musora's proprietary video media and procedures, personal information of managed staff members, confidential production documents and more.
Skills, Knowledge and Expertise
Knowledge/Education/Experience
- 5+ years of continuous experience in film/video production, with at least two years in management.
- Extensive knowledge and understanding of cinematography techniques, video capture techniques, lighting, and some video editing and best post-production practices
- Proficiency in English in both written and verbal communication. Other languages are not compulsory but are welcomed.
- Valid Driver's license required
- Valid Passport to travel within Canada and Internationally
