Role Overview
The Vice President, Information Technology (VP, IT)will lead the technology strategy for Northwest Healthcare Properties REIT, ensuring that IT serves as a critical enabler of business success. This role is responsible for defining and executing a forward-looking IT strategy that enhances efficiency, strengthens infrastructure, safeguards data, and positions the company for growth through emerging technologies. The VP, IT will work closely with the executive team and business leaders to align IT capabilities with the company’s operational and financial goals.
Key Responsibilities
Technology Strategy & Leadership
- Develop and execute a comprehensive IT strategy that supports business objectives, cost efficiency, and operational excellence.
- Identify and implement emerging technologies that improve productivity, enhance decision-making, and drive innovation.
- Partner with executive leadership to align IT initiatives with corporate goals, ensuring technology investments provide measurable value.
- Build and lead a high-performing IT team, fostering a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
Infrastructure & Security
- Oversee the management of IT infrastructure, ensuring reliability, scalability, and security.
- Develop and implement robust cybersecurity policies and practices to protect company assets and data.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements related to data privacy, security, and IT governance.
- Optimize cloud and on-premise solutions to support business operations and cost efficiency.
- Partner with external providers (e.g. JLL, CBRE) to support business operations.
Data Management & Analytics
- Drive the company’s data strategy, ensuring accurate, accessible, and actionable data to support business intelligence.
- Oversee data governance frameworks to maintain data integrity and compliance.
- Implement AI and automation solutions to improve efficiency, streamline workflows, and enhance decision-making.
Collaboration & Business Enablement
- Act as a key business partner, working closely with leaders across the organization to identify opportunities where technology can drive efficiency and value.
- Support process automation initiatives, particularly in areas like accounts payable, leasing documentation, and portfolio management.
- Champion digital transformation efforts to modernize systems and improve user experience for employees and tenants.
Qualifications & Experience
- 10+ years of IT leadership experience, preferably within real estate, healthcare, or a related industry.
- Proven ability to develop and execute IT strategies that align with business objectives.
- Strong understanding of infrastructure, cybersecurity, and data management principles.
- Experience with emerging technologies, AI, and automation to drive efficiency and cost reduction.
- Track record of leading IT transformations and managing change within a complex organization.
- Exceptional collaboration and communication skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels.
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field; MBA or equivalent is a plus.
