As we continue to grow, we are looking for a System Administrator L2 to join our team.

About The Role

As a System Administrator L2, you will be responsible to delivering professional service projects with a primary focus on server and workstation support. Daily tasks involve a wide range of responsibilities, from end-user assistance and troubleshooting to server/virtual machine deployments, networking, cybersecurity, Azure infrastructure, and Microsoft 365 services, encompassing nearly the full Microsoft product suite. Additionally, the position includes a monthly after-hours on-call rotation, with occasional planned or emergency support as needed.

Location: 105 - 4020 Viking Way, Richmond, BC
Schedule: Monday to Friday, 40 hours per week, 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.
Work Mode: On site

What You’ll Do

Act as a subject matter expert and provide escalated technical support for complex issues from the helpdesk support teams.
Perform advanced troubleshooting and root cause analysis of hardware, software, and network-related problems across multiple client environments.
Manage and maintain client IT infrastructure, including servers, networks, firewalls, and security systems.
Conduct regular system monitoring and proactive maintenance to ensure optimal performance and identify potential issues.
Implement security best practices and ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations.
Collaborate with clients to understand their IT needs, provide recommendations, and propose technology solutions.
Lead projects involving system upgrades, migrations, and infrastructure improvements for clients.
Develop and maintain technical documentation, including network diagrams, standard operating procedures, and knowledge base articles.
Stay up to date with emerging technologies, industry trends, and best practices to recommend innovative solutions to clients.
Providing excellent customer service skills and the ability to go above and beyond for our clients.

What We’re Looking For

3+ years in a Systems Administrator/Tier 2 role within an MSP environment.
3+ years configuring Microsoft Azure infrastructure.
3+ years supporting Microsoft 365, with in-depth knowledge of Entra, Exchange, Defender, and Intune.
AZ-104 Certification required.
3+ years managing firewalls and security (Meraki, Fortinet, Sonicwall).
Expert in Windows Server and Active Directory administration.
Strong understanding of networking (TCP/IP, VLANs, VPN, DNS, DHCP) with configuration and deployment ability.
Proficiency in VMware, Hyper-V, and Azure cloud platform.
Experience with backup/disaster recovery solutions (Datto, Veeam).
Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
Strong customer service orientation and effective client communication.
Solid documentation and ticket management skills.
Self-motivated and able to work independently.
High level of professionalism and continuous learning mindset.
Great communication skills and understanding of business value.
Preferred: Experience with ConnectWise Manage.
