Currently, we are looking for a
Playground Designer to join our growing team. We believe the right person for this role will likely have a background in Architecture or Industrial Design with experience in making or building. Experience with child development is a strong advantage for this role.
You will be involved in all aspects of the creative design of children's play spaces. Your job will be to create early concepts, to develop designs, and to produce detailed solutions for product development . Your team mates have training in industrial design, landscape architecture, sculpture, architecture, and engineering, giving you the rewarding experience of working collaboratively with designers from different disciplines and nationalities.
Our clients include internationally renowned Landscape Architecture firms; as well as cities, towns and municipalities; schools; non-profit organizations; and child care centers. Sounds like an amazing job, right?! We all think it is!

We Are Looking For Someone Who
- has academic training in a design discipline (preferably Architecture or Industrial Design) with strong illustrative skills, product development experience, and is highly proficient in Rhino
- is a team player, empathetic, and a seeks out healthy collaboration
- is serious about the importance of play and has a play-centered approach to life; in reading about this job, you're already dreaming about play spaces
- has abundant creativity but also has a strong intuition for constructability
- has the ability to be creative within the rules -- playgrounds must meet safety standards so our designs must be adapted to meet these regulations
- has deep curiosity and the ability to listen and comprehend another’s thoughts and visions
- communicates with contagious passion and energy when making public presentations to explain your designs
- enjoys collaborative work with a multidisciplinary team but also work effectively with little supervision
- has a growth mindset, and learn from your mistakes
- has a natural ability to prioritize tasks and work efficiently
- is proficient with Rhino and is a bonus if you have worked in Sketchup, Photoshop, AutoCAD and/or Solid Works.
