Responsibilities
- Building and sustaining relationships with new and existing customers within an assigned territory
- Conduct face-to-face or via telephone scheduled meetings with potential customers.
- Maintaining accurate sales reports of all leads, customer accounts and sales
- Assisting current truck part customers by answering product related questions, parts requests, availability and pricing
- Strategic negotiating with potential and existing customers to close a sale
- Deliver parts to customer in accordance with purchases
- Meet monthly parts sales objectives and stay aligned with the company’s business goals
- Generating new parts business leads by cold calling
- Follow- up on parts sales to ensure the customer has received the proper service and is fully satisfied with the product he or she received
- Work closely with the inside parts sales team and support personnel to develop strategies and share knowledge regarding customers and products
- Assist in maintaining the parts department inventory, by monitoring the market
- Keeping up with the lasts industry developments by attending meetings, training workshops and industry events
- Acts as a public relations liaison for the dealership.
- Maintain a professional image, wear company appropriate clothing and keeping a well-maintained and clean vehicle when on the job
Qualifications
- Valid driver’s license and clean driver's abstract
- Outside sales experience with strong consultative sales skills is an asset
- Exceptional customer service skills
- Knowledge of heavy-duty/medium duty truck parts is preferable
- Good written and oral communication skills and eagerness to improve
- Detail-oriented and good listening skills
- Proficiency in all Microsoft Office applications
Effective problem solving, conflict resolution, and negotiation skills. Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales goals
