The Opportunity
Under
Sunwing Vacations, we are looking for a
Brand Marketing & Social Media Specialist to join us in making vacation dreams come true. As the Brand Marketing & Social Media Specialist, you will act as the key project manager to support our brand storytelling and omni-channel promotional marketing campaigns. You will also assist our team of Social Media Content Creators in planning, sharing and measuring content across various social channels and Sunwing Vacations brands. The position reports to the Senior Manager, Brand and Social Media and will be located in Toronto, ON.
What You’ll Do
- Support Senior Brand Marketing Manager with day-to-day activities, promotional materials, briefings and creative approvals
- You’re a project management wizard – you’ll champion project delivery, managing multiple marketing campaigns, stakeholder relationships, and tight deadlines with precision and ease.
- Collaborate with cross-functional marketing leads to gather information and create clear, compelling content/ creative briefs for omni-channel brand promotion that gets people excited
- Support content planning and execution across e-Commerce site, social media, and B2C/B2B email channels
- Act as the facilitator between Product and Marketing teams to align on plans that support marketing strategies
- Ensure brand consistency across all marketing initiatives and communications
- Assist in driving organic social media presence across key platforms including, Facebook, Instagram and TikTok to increase engagement
- Support a team of Content Creators with content planning through copy development, creative ideation and social monitoring
- Assist in growing our brand presence while fostering community engagement on our Sunwing Vacations Group social media channels
- Maintain monthly social media calendar for the Group’s social accounts including Sunwing Vacations, SellOffVacations and Sunwing Weddings.
- Be our eyes and ears in the social media universe, keeping us ahead of the latest trends
- Turn social media comments into meaningful conversations with our community
- Contribute to brainstorming sessions and campaign planning meetings
- Analyze social media performance and provide insights for content optimization
What You’ll Need
- Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, or equivalent experience
- 2+ years of experience in brand marketing, social media, or related field
- Strong project management, planning and organizational abilities
- Solid understanding of current social media trends and best practices for various platforms
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Demonstrated creative and strategic thinking ability
- Agency experience an asset
- Detail-oriented with excellent multitasking abilities
- Proficiency in social media management tools
- Strong analytical skills with ability to derive insights from social media metrics
- Creative mindset with ability to generate engaging content ideas
- Travel/tourism industry experience is an asset
