Pinchin is seeking a motivated Project Manager to join our St. John’s, NL office. As the ideal candidate, you are excited by the opportunity to manage your own client portfolio and provide effective leadership to your project team.
Reporting to the Team Leader, the Project Manager will lead our team of technicians in performing Indoor Environmental Quality (IEQ) and occupational health and safety (OHS) consulting. The IEQ & OHS group offers a range of consulting services, including mould and water damage, indoor air quality, and hazardous materials in industrial, commercial, and residential real estate industries. In addition, the group provides integrated solutions to construction, industrial, commercial, and manufacturing clients who require support in assessing and implementing various health and safety and occupational hygiene programs in their workplace.
As a Project Manager you will work on a variety of projects such as: IEQ & mould assessment and remediation, audits/assessments, construction site inspections, noise and air monitoring, confined space evaluations, developing various occupational health and safety programs and procedures, chemical exposure control plans/procedures and/or managing the review of those documents.
What You Will Be Doing At Pinchin
- Prepare proposals and project cost estimates for IEQ & OHS projects
- Supervise and perform IEQ assessments
- Supervising and performing microbial contamination (mould), indoor air quality (IAQ) and infection control consulting services, including assessments, contract preparation, and remediation/abatement work
- Develop OH&S policies, programs, and procedures
- Develop mould and indoor air quality management programs
- Conduct on-site assessments and audits, and complete reports
- Conduct or manage occupational hygiene surveys
- Supervise, train and mentor Project Technologists in their job functions
- Develop and deliver OH&S training courses (in-house and external)
- Review the work of assigned employees and colleagues to ensure it meets the standards established for Pinchin work
- Work in hazardous environments, including asbestos and mould removal sites and other hazardous materials abatement
- Maintain and enhance quality control within the group
- Develop business relationships with both new and existing clients and to participate in Pinchin marketing initiatives
- Manage WIP, A/R and invoicing
What You Bring To The Pinchin Team
- A university degree in engineering, chemistry, or physics, or a degree in a closely related biological or physical science
- Professional health and safety designation: e.g. CIH/ROH/CRSP/CSP or actively working towards certification an asset
- Minimum of 3 years of relevant experience with IEQ and occupational hygiene/safety experience in a related industry
- Consulting or project management experience is an asset
- Familiar with invoicing, budgeting, and other areas of project related financial management
- Intermediate proficiency with Microsoft Office Products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook)
- Strong interpersonal, presentation and team building skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Excellent organizational skills
- Vehicle and valid driver's license (work-related travel expenses are compensated)
- Availability to travel
