Your Moneris Career - The Opportunity You will lead a team of Software Engineers in Test dedicated to implementing and advancing testing tools, frameworks, and cloud-native solutions across the development lifecycle. You will combine technical leadership, strategic oversight, and collaboration, working with teams to integrate quality gates into CI/CD pipelines and improve testing processes. Location: You will be based in our Toronto office and will work in a hybrid model. Reporting Relationship: You will report to the Senior Manager, Quality Assurance. Your Moneris Career - What you'll do Lead the design, implementation, and maintenance of scalable, cloud-native testing systems supporting UI, API, and performance testing. Evaluate, implement, and manage testing tools like Playwright, super test, Rest Assured, Gatling and Postman, ensuring they integrate with existing infrastructure. Use public cloud platforms (e.g., Azure) to deploy and manage testing tools, ensuring integration into CI/CD pipelines. Establish and enforce quality gates within CI/CD workflows in collaboration with DevOps teams. Provide technical leadership and mentorship to Test Engineers/SDETs, helping them build reliable and scalable tools. Guide the creation of quality dashboards and reports that help improve testing practices and promote data-driven decision-making. Lead projects for process improvements across testing tools and frameworks, driving innovation and operational efficiency. Work with agile teams to integrate quality practices into the SDLC, ensuring efficient workflows and high-quality outcomes. Your Moneris Career - What you bring Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Engineering, or related field; or equivalent work experience. At least 7 years of experience architecting and developing quality engineering tools, or software development. Minimum of 5 years of technical leadership and people management experience, managing tooling or platform teams. Hands-on experience writing unit tests, API tests, and integration tests using Java and JavaScript. Experience with Azure Cloud is a PLUS 3+ years of experience building and maintaining large-scale testing infrastructure, including performance and load testing 3 years’ experience in CI/CD processes and tools (e.g. GitHub Actions), and familiarity with modern developer workflows Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to effectively communicate technical concepts to senior leadership. Inspire, mentor, and develop teams in the use of new tools and testing practices. Collaboration skills, with experience working across teams such as DevOps, Product, and Engineering to achieve common goals.
