Loblaw is looking for an organized, self-starter who has a passion for digital and social media to take the role of Manager, Content and Social Media. The successful candidate will join a team of content and social media enthusiasts and storytellers. As an integral part of the Marketing Creative, Content and Social Media team, this role is essential to the support of our divisional teams through the development and project management of digital and social content planning and execution.
What you'll do:
Provide strategic recommendations for content for all channels with a focus on digital and social media within the divisional channel.
Lead the planning, development and execution of approved content for the divisional channel, overseeing the following key processes:
Collaboration sessions for campaigns with internal partners and agencies of record
Brief copywriters and creatives with in house developed templates
Route creative and copy for approvals through DRIVE indicated parties
Represent Content and social for the division at synergies meetings where digital/social KPIs are developed against every campaign and reported on each week allowing us to change direction quickly if something isn’t working
Develop new content weekly for the divisional channel on campaign and off
Work closely in a cross-functional marketing department to achieve timely execution of all aspects of content marketing and social media plans, including PR, media, creative, in-store experience, etc.
Report on performance of all campaigns - participate in post mortems to guide future planning
Represent Content/Social on set for Tier One campaigns – photography/videography
Ensure turning points are communicated and deadlines managed between team members to ensure successful execution of all content marketing and social media plans
Engage Influencers for key campaigns with a focus on social - with support from 3rd party agencies and/or PR
Manage budgets, monitor expenditures and take appropriate corrective action as necessary to remain within budget.
Manage team of social media specialists ensuring social community and brand standards and assist in creation of social media post deliverables
Compile post mortem reports on all programs and participate in recommending changes to current and future programs based on metrics.
Help maintain strong relationships with all collaborators, team members and business partners.
What you bring:
University or college degree in business – marketing specifically an asset.
3 - 5 years’ previous experience in marketing/project management, working in a digital environment managing content and social channels.
Experience with Meta Business Manager and Sprout Social is an asset.
Can work independently with a deadline and proactively ask questions when needed
Highly organized self-starter with meticulous attention to detail, methodical in approach to projects and problems, resourceful, and works well in a face-paced team environment
Advanced written and verbal communication skills; can clearly communicate within a cross-functional work environment
Copywriting skills and social media management skills are an asset.
Bilingual English/French language skills are an asset, though not required
Identify process improvements, strong relationship management skills
French language (written and spoken) is an asset
