Summary of responsibilities:
The Senior Advisor, National Deployment provides the overall national program deployment view for all PBS, NPS, and HBS projects. The incumbent ensures all projects are tracked and rolled up to provide National Program Status reporting to include Go-Live schedules, extended project team resource requirements, and project budgets. In addition, the incumbent maintains risk and issues views for the programs and works with the General Manager and Manager Program Deployment and Manager Logistics to resolve. The Senior Advisor, National Deployment performs all other duties and responsibilities related to the position as required.
What you need to succeed
To qualify for the position, you must have:
- Graduation from a recognized college or university with a specialization in Engineering, Business Administration, Business Management, Project Management or another specialty relevant to the duties of the position.
- A minimum of five (5) years of experience scheduling, planning and managing large-scale projects that include the delivery and installation of heavy and complex pieces of equipment.
- Knowledge of the theories, principles and practices of project planning, estimating and budget and contract management.
- Knowledge of principles and practices of shipping, delivery, installation and site preparation.

- Knowledge of the operation of HBS and PBS/NPS systems or screening technologies.
- A Professional Engineer or Project Management Professional designation.
- Experience collaborating with stakeholders, including equipment manufacturers/suppliers, and facility owners.
- Experience in the air transportation or security industries.
- Knowledge of CATSA's mandate and priorities, as well as an awareness of relevant legislation impacting CATSA.
- Ability to review technical drawings, schematics and field installation plans.
- Working knowledge of AutoCAD software.
Specific work requirements
- Ability to work overtime as required;
- Ability to travel as required
- Language Profile: English Essential;
- Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance; and
- Be a Canadian citizen or permanent resident.
