Title : Manager - Interim Housing Site

In this role, you will :
Responsibility 1: Site Operation and Maintenance Administration
- Manage all aspects of the interim housing agreement and sites.
- Ensure utility and services are monitored, maintained and serviced in a timely manner.
- Provide residents with required information regarding health, safety and the environmental requirements at the housing sites.
- Collaborate with CRC and partner colleagues to provide regular updates and escalate issues as needed.
- Supervise and support the work of CRC Maintenance Workers, Finance and Administrative personnel.
- Ensure accommodation reports are accurate and submitted timely.
- Oversee the supply and maintenance of recreational and entertainment equipment
Responsibility 2: Interim Housing Budget Development and Management
- Work with the Finance and Administration team to manage facilities-related operating expenditures.
- Contribute to the annual operations budget utilizing historical information and forward-looking rental unit requirements.
Responsibility 3: Supports an Effective Team
- Foster teamwork through professional exchange of experiences and expertise.
- Mentor colleagues on sourcing processes and systems for backup purposes.
- Participate in disaster planning, preparation, and response as required.
What we are looking for :
- Completion of secondary education with minimum three (3) years’ experience in a management role in remote workforce housing operations, hotel/hospitality management, accommodations or equivalent industry experience
- Three (3) years supervisory experience of facilities staff and contracted services.
- Hospitality Management & Co-op Diploma from the Canadian College, or any equivalency, is an asset.
- Knowledge of and experience in process for service contract procurement and administration.
- Understanding and reporting on financial controls, budgets and variance analysis.
- Demonstrated experience and advanced level of skill with MS Office suite is required.
- Ability to learn new software to support scheduling and other requirements (such as property management software and Point of Sale systems), as required.
- Demonstrated ability to effectively partner with cross functional groups and various levels of management within a matrix style management system.
- Strong interpersonal skills to work effectively with internal and external contacts through written and verbal communications.
- Ability to identify tasks and establish priorities for the required work.
- Disciplined organization to ensure multiple tasks are processed concurrently, timely and within identified milestone dates.
- Experience in motivating, mentoring and developing employees in challenging work environments.
- Willingness to participate in and upgrade training certifications, including general safety and relevant courses.
- Must have and maintain a valid Class 5 driver’s license with a clean driving abstract.
- Fluency in English is required, French is an asset.
Working Conditions :
- Hours of work will primarily be Monday to Friday from 8:30 am – 4:30 pm.
- May require non-traditional work hours and to be on call to respond to emergency and disaster-related events, as required.
- May include long to moderate hours sitting and using computers and office equipment.
- Frequent travel between interim housing sites.
- May be required to some light lifting of supplies and materials from time to time up to 22 Kg (50 lbs.).
- May be under time constraints due to payroll deadlines, weekly/month/quarter/year end reporting deadlines.
- Must be able to work in extreme weather conditions.
