Position Overview
The Social Media & Marketing Specialist is responsible for executing Flair Airlines' social media strategy across all major platforms, with a primary focus on TikTok, while also managing Facebook, X (Twitter), BlueSky, Instagram, YouTube, and LinkedIn. This role is dedicated to building an engaging and distinctive brand personality, fostering customer trust, and creating a responsive social media presence. Acting as a brand ambassador, the Social Media Specialist will work collaboratively with internal teams to enhance customer experience and engagement.
This isn’t a behind-the-scenes role—we need someone who is agile, professional, funny, and fearless—ready to jump on trends, engage in real-time, and even take part in social media stunts that get people talking. You should live and breathe social media, understand platform algorithms inside and out, and be ready to experiment, fail fast, and go viral.
Primary Responsibilities
- Be the face of Flair—appear in video content, host social segments, and bring the brand to life.
- Create high-quality content—film, edit, and produce videos, graphics, and memes tailored for TikTok, Instagram, YouTube, and more.
- Write with personality—craft witty, engaging, and brand-aligned captions, replies, and ad copy.
- Develop and implement social media strategies that align with Flair Airlines’ marketing goals and cultivate a beloved brand identity.
- Maintain a strategic content calendar that aligns with marketing priorities and capitalizes on emerging trends.
- Engage with Flair’s community—monitor and respond to comments, inquiries, and brand mentions promptly and professionally.
- Track social media trends and performance analytics to refine strategy and maximize engagement.
- Run social stunts and activations—pitch and execute big, buzzworthy ideas that make Flair a social media powerhouse.
- Collaborate with internal teams—work with marketing, PR, and customer service to ensure social aligns with business goals.
- Monitor and manage brand reputation—track both positive and negative feedback and escalate concerns when necessary.
Education
Qualifications & Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree or diploma certification in relevant fields (journalism, marketing, film, English, social sciences, etc.)
Experience
- 2+ years of experience in social media management, digital marketing, or a related field.
- Previous experience in customer engagement, community management, or brand marketing preferred.
- Experience in videography, content creation, and editing is a major asset.
Skills & Abilities
- Strong understanding of social media platforms, trends, and audience engagement strategies.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with a keen eye for detail.
- On-camera confidence—you’re comfortable being front and center, from filming TikToks to representing Flair in media moments.
- Proficiency in video editing software (CapCut, Adobe Premiere Pro, or Final Cut Pro).
- Ability to multitask, manage multiple projects, and work in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency with social media analytics tools and reporting metrics.
- Knowledge of SEO, SEM, and digital marketing best practices.
- Ability to maintain a consistent brand voice across multiple platforms.
