We are currently hiring a General Manager, P2P Marketplacebased in our Head Office in Burnaby.
Please note that this is a hybrid role based out of our Burnaby, BC office (2 Remote / 3 On Site). Applicants who are not located within commuting distance of our Head Office or are not looking to relocate to the Greater Vancouver/Lower Mainland/Fraser Valley region will not be considered.
As the General Manager, Peer-to-Peer (P2P) Marketplace at BCAA, you will lead the development, growth, and operations of BCAA’s emerging two-sided marketplaces, including BCAA Auto Marketplace, BCAA Connect, and the upcoming launch of BCAA Service Exchange. Reporting to the Vice President, Strategic Ventures, you will be responsible for setting a clear vision, defining the strategic roadmap, driving business strategy, and ensuring exceptional customer experiences that connect British Columbians through P2P offerings.
As a results-driven and entrepreneurial leader, you will oversee a cross-functional team, work with external vendors, and lead go-to-market strategies to expand and scale P2P platforms. Your expertise in marketplace business models, product ownership, and growth strategy will be critical in establishing BCAA as a leader in this evolving space.

What you’ll do:
- Define and execute the strategic roadmap for BCAA’s peer-to-peer marketplace offerings, ensuring alignment with long-term business objectives.
- Develop and implement go-to-market strategies, leveraging competitive insights and industry research to drive adoption.
- Manage a cross-functional team of product, marketing, and operations leaders, ensuring alignment and execution excellence.
- Oversee financial performance, including revenue, transaction volume, acquisition costs, and customer satisfaction metrics.
- Collaborate with marketing teams to build awareness and increase engagement in BCAA’s P2P platforms.
- Manage vendor and partner relationships, ensuring seamless integration of third-party services into BCAA’s marketplace ecosystem.
- Leverage data and analytics to refine growth strategies, optimize user experience, and increase network effects.
- Develop and maintain a product roadmap, ensuring continuous iteration, feature enhancements, and market expansion strategies.
- Identify new business opportunities, expanding marketplace offerings and driving continuous innovation.
- Develop and manage budgets, ensuring cost efficiencies while scaling marketplace operations.
- Act as a thought leader in peer-to-peer mobility and service exchanges, keeping BCAA at the forefront of this emerging industry.
What you bring:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Technology, Product Management, Business, or a related field.
- 7+ years of experience in business operations, product management, or strategic leadership.
- 2+ years of experience in product and business line ownership, driving strategic decision-making and market expansion.
- 2+ years of experience in two-sided marketplaces, with a strong understanding of network effects and user acquisition.
- 4+ years of leadership experience, managing cross-functional teams and business units.
- Proven track record of successfully scaling high-growth, consumer-facing platforms.
- Strong financial acumen, including P&L management, budgeting, and forecasting.
- Experience in go-to-market strategy, business development, and customer acquisition.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence senior leadership.
- Bonus Skills and Experience:
- Experience in used vehicle sales, community forums, or service-based marketplaces.
- Strong background in digital product management and platform development.

The salary range for this position is $130,000 to $165,000 and is determined via job-related knowledge, skills, experience, certifications, market demand and internal equity. In addition to base salary and BCAA benefits, this position is eligible for a performance bonus target of 12.5%, with the opportunity to earn up to 20%.
