The Role
We are looking for a highly creative, detail-driven Graphic Designer to join our marketing team. This role is central to how Mezza shows up across restaurants, digital channels, and new markets.
Working closely with the Director of Marketing, you will bring campaigns to life, ensure brand consistency, and produce high-quality creative across both print and digital environments.
This is a hands-on role for someone who can move quickly, think creatively, and execute with precision.
Key Responsibilities
Creative Development & Execution
- Design and produce high-quality creative across multiple touchpoints, including:
- In-store materials (menu boards, signage, promotional assets)
- Campaign creative (posters, offers, LTOs)
- Packaging and retail materials
- Trade show and event assets
- Support new restaurant openings with localized marketing materials tailored to each market
Brand Consistency & Systems
- Maintain and evolve Mezza’s brand standards across all channels
- Ensure consistency in typography, colour, layout, and overall visual identity
- Build and manage templates for internal communications and recurring marketing needs
Digital Creative
- Design creative for digital channels including social, email, and web
- Develop email marketing layouts that are on-brand and user-friendly
- Apply best practices for clarity, hierarchy, and usability in digital formats
Production & File Management
- Prepare accurate, print-ready files and manage vendor specifications
- Create proofs and manage revisions through to final approval
- Maintain organized file structures and asset libraries for team-wide use
Project Ownership & Collaboration
- Take ownership of projects from initial brief through to final delivery, ensuring timelines, accuracy, and brand standards are met
- Partner closely with the Director of Marketing to align on objectives, priorities, and timelines
- Manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment
- Take feedback constructively and iterate quickly
What You Bring
- 5+ years of graphic design experience (QSR, retail, or CPG experience is a strong asset)
- A strong portfolio demonstrating both brand and production work
- Advanced proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign)
- Strong understanding of typography, layout, and visual hierarchy
- Experience designing both print and digital environments
- Knowledge of print production and prepress processes
- Familiarity with email marketing design
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to problem-solve within brand and production constraints
Nice to Have
- Experience with Squarespace or basic web CMS platforms
- Exposure to digital advertising creative
