Duties And Responsibilities
Reporting to the Manager, Strategy and Quality, the Data and Reporting Analyst serves as an administrative resource on all matters pertaining to data collection and reporting for the Sprott School of Business. The Data and Reporting Analyst is the subject expert on comparative analyses and reporting and assists the Manager, Strategy and Quality to compile and analyze data associated with the schools’ internal and external reporting obligations. Preparation and distribution of research reports; field requests for data made by agencies inside and outside the University, and maintaining a current understanding of faculty data in support of operations for current and future accreditations, including AACSB (Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business).
Qualifications
The incumbent must possess the following qualifications:
- Detail oriented with a commitment to accuracy.
- Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills.
- Strong report writing and presentation skills.
- Ability to work efficiently in both independent and team-oriented in a fast-paced environment to achieve goals and deadlines.
- English language fluency is required.
- Must have strong skills and fluency in software used in data analysis and reporting including office productivity applications, presentation tools, survey systems. Must be able to keep current on developments in this area; and the ability to adapt to a changing electronic environment.
- Excellent knowledge of the School's and University's structure, procedures, policies and regulations.
- Excellent organizational and administrative skills; must have the ability to organize work effectively in a fast-paced office environment, set priorities and meet strict deadlines with minimal supervision.
- Ability to act with discretion, tact and diplomacy when dealing with staff, faculty members/contract instructors, students and the external community/partners.
- Must have demonstrated excellence with time management skills; must have the ability to simultaneously work on several assignments with pressures of multiple demands, interruptions and changing priorities.
Education And Experience
The above is normally acquired through the completion of:
- Honours University degree in Business, Computer Science, or a related discipline.
- A minimum of three years professional work experience as a business or data analyst, preferably with knowledge in a post-secondary/education environment.
