The Right Fit The Payroll Specialist reports to the Controller and owns full cycle payroll for a 100 employee Canada and U.S. workforce. Payroll runs weekly and supports both office and field staff.
The role requires strong attention to detail and comfort managing payroll across two jurisdictions. ADP Workforce Now experience sits as a core requirement.
The position also offers room for additional responsibility depending on background and interest. Areas include HR coordination, accounting support, or operational administration.
What You'll Be Doing- Process weekly payroll for approximately 100 employees across Canada and the United States
- Maintain payroll records, earnings adjustments, and deductions within ADP Workforce Now
- Ensure payroll compliance with federal, provincial, and U.S. payroll regulations
- Reconcile payroll reports and support month end accounting entries
- Coordinate with operations teams regarding time reporting and payroll changes
- Maintain employee payroll files and documentation
- Support year end reporting including T4 preparation and payroll summaries
What You Bring to the Table- 5+ years payroll experience within a multi employee organization
- Experience running payroll through ADP Workforce Now, required
- Exposure to U.S. payroll processes viewed as an asset
- Strong accuracy and attention to detail in payroll processing
- Comfortable working with operations teams across multiple locations
- Payroll compliance knowledge within Canadian payroll regulations
- PCP designation viewed as an asset
