IT Manager
Our client in Edmonton is looking for an IT Manager to join their team. This role is responsible for overseeing all IT operations, ensuring the organization’s infrastructure scales effectively with business growth, and leading the transition to cloud-based services.
Your responsibilities include- Direct daily IT functions to ensure systems are stable, secure, and well-supported
- Manage Microsoft 365 administration including Teams, Exchange, SharePoint, Entra ID, Intune, and Defender
- Support and maintain both cloud and on‑premise infrastructure, networks, and end-user devices
- Uphold strong cybersecurity standards, including access controls, MFA, endpoint protection, and user security training
- Oversee end‑user support, improving service delivery and documentation processes
- Work closely with staff and leadership to identify technology requirements and recommend effective solutions
- Manage vendor relationships, contracts, and licensing
- Monitor IT budgets, assets, renewals, and lifecycle management
- Contribute to technology initiatives and organizational change efforts
Your strengths include- A degree or diploma in computer science, IT, or a related discipline
- At least five years of progressive experience in IT management or leadership
- Strong technical understanding of networks, hardware, software, operating systems, standards, and protocols
- Proven IT leadership experience, particularly with cloud technologies.
- Solid background in IT infrastructure, networking, and security
- Ability to work effectively in collaborative, team-based environments
- Excellent leadership, communication, and project management skills
- Strong multitasking ability and comfort working in a fast-paced environment
- Skilled in presenting technical information in clear, user‑friendly language
- Self‑driven, proactive, and service‑oriented
- Exceptional focus on end‑user experience
