Position Summary:
The Manager, Project Delivery is part of the City of Nelson leadership team, requiring extensive knowledge of capital infrastructure and engineering. Reporting to the Director of Engineering, Infrastructure and Capital Projects, this position leads the planning and execution of complex civil infrastructure projects from concept through completion, ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget, and in compliance with regulatory and strategic requirements, while providing high‑quality, sustainable infrastructure that delivers long‑term value to the Nelson community and its visitors.
Essential Qualifications:
- Membership or eligibility for immediate membership as a registered Professional
- Significant experience using traditional (MMCD/CCDC) and alternate project delivery methods (IPD & PDB
- Experience supervising technical teams, including Engineering Technologists.
- Experience with civil infrastructure, design, and contract administration.
- Valid Class 5 driver’s license.
Skills and Abilities:
Candidates will bring strong project management, organizational, and technical expertise to successfully lead multiple complex capital infrastructure projects, balancing competing priorities while ensuring delivery on time, within budget, and in compliance with engineering standards and project objectives. Through clear communication, collaborative leadership, and strategic use of alternative project delivery methods, the Manager builds strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders, mitigates risk, supports sound decision‑making, and drives high‑performing teams to achieve successful project outcomes.
Employment Type: Regular FT
Compensation: $113,148.00 - $125,720.00
Location: On-Site
Days: Monday - Friday
Hours: 8:00 AM - 4:00 PM
