Summary
This position ensures the effective and timely operation of data input into the Enterprise Resource Planning System (ERP); using the Product Life Cycle Management (PLM) system (ARAS Innovator), and information from other departments to correctly populate ERP as part of a mature, well-defined system.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Work closely with R&D and Engineering, Finance, Supply Chain, and Production to support item, document, and configuration data accuracy.
- Act as a point of contact in creation and management of ERP and PLM item numbers, workflows, and part number maintenance in accordance with established procedures.
- Prepare and transmit technical information to and from internal and external organizations in accordance with established File Transfer Protocol (FTP) procedures and compliance requirements.
- Extrapolating data from the PLM system (Innovator) to be used in the appropriate fields in ERP and updating the PLM with appropriate information from the ERP.
- Recommend and implement improvements to the ERP and PLM part number creation and maintenance workflow and procedures.
- Establish and maintain controlled document and record repositories across ERP, PLM, and approved storage systems for accuracy, traceability, and compliance.
- Perform document quality checks for versioning, references, approvals, and configuration status prior to release.
- Assist in the development/maintenance of Configuration Management (CM) and Data Management processes and procedures.
- Responsible for reviewing submitted ECRs and initiating the Technical Review for ECRs in the PLM system and providing backup for the PLM system.
- Perform other related duties as required to support Configuration Management, Document Control, and data integrity objectives.
Qualifications
- A minimum of one (1) year Data Entry/CM Document Management experience in an ISO 9001:2015 certified company, ideally in the defense industry.
- Familiarity in the product and Engineering Change (EC) control processes in fast-paced, high pressure product development and manufacturing environments. Experience of EIA-649 is an asset.
- Strong reading, writing, and editing skills.
- Experience in using Configuration Management programs and processes as they would relate to information needed in ERP and PLM.
- Experience using File Transfer Protocol for controlled exchange of technical documents and configuration data.
- Working knowledge of databases and ERP systems, preferably Microsoft AX and Microsoft Dynamics 365 ERP applications.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, in particular Word and Excel.
- Ability to effectively manage time and prioritize multiple projects.
- Eligible for a Secret-Level Security Clearance.
