Job Summary
TheAccounts Payable Administrator willplay a key role intheday-to-day payables functionacross multiple entities,including Ottawa Senators Hockey Club,Ottawa Community Ice Partners,Belleville Senators Inc., and the Senators Community Foundation.They willbe responsible forensuringpayables areaccurately recorded and payments are processed ona timelybasis.The successful candidate is highly detail-oriented, eager to learn, and thrives in dynamic business environments.
Main Responsibilities
- Timely communication with vendors, contractors,andemployees on payment status
- Maintenance and update of thevendor database,including thecreation ofnew vendors
- POtrackermaintenanceandcoordination with operations to ensurePOcompleteness and accuracy
- Matching invoicestoPOsandentry/codingofinvoices, including tax amounts
- Posting and reconciliation of credit card expense reports
- Preparation ofproposedpayment runsfor reviewandrelatedjournal entries
- Preparation ofelectronic paymentsin the bank,asrequired
- Preparationand mailing of chequeruns
- Assistin refining and improvingworkflow andpayment processes
- Assistinpulling support for theannual audit
- Other duties as assigned by theManager, Accounts Payable & Receivable
Job Requirements
- Post-secondary diploma in Accounting or Business Administration
- Workingknowledge of general accounting principles andonline banking systems
- Intermediate MicrosoftExcelskills
- Strongwritten and oral communication skills
- Comfortable with high volume data entry
- Attention to detail and accountability for the completeness and accuracy of work
- Organized andable to manage own time, prioritize work,and meet deadlines
- Ability to work effectively in a team and adapt quickly to a changing environment

This role falls within abasesalary range of $40,100 to $61,500 annually, consistent with the organizations established salary ranges. Salary ranges aredeterminedthrough a wide variety of factors including but not limited to market data, internal equity, education, relevant experience, knowledge, and applicable skillset.
