We are currently looking for a full-time Warehouse Assistant, reporting to the Branch Manager, Atlantic Sign Graphics.
Position Summary
Reporting to the Branch Manager, Atlantic Sign Graphics, the Warehouse Assistant is responsible for coordinating the administration surrounding the receiving and put away of incoming stock. Additionally, the incumbent is responsible for resolving any discrepancies that arise.
Key Responsibilities
Under the supervision of the Branch Manager, Atlantic Sign Graphics, the duties and responsibilities of the Warehouse Assistant include, but are not limited to, the following:
- Resolve receiving issues and problems;
- Handle relevant administrative duties i.e. receiving’s and bills of lading are correctly completed daily;
- Pick customer orders for shipping products
- Book incoming trucks and receiving containers;
- Coordinating incoming and outgoing container paperwork;
- Enter incoming inventory;
- Resolve receiving and damaged stock issues;
- Resolve missing stock issues;
- Update customer returns;
- Update completed work orders;
- Make moves for stock that has been put away; and
- Other duties as assigned.
Minimum Requirements
- Completion of a secondary school diploma or equivalent considered an asset;
- Minimum 1 - 3 years warehouse experience;
- Knowledge of Hyster Counterbalance, Raymond Reacher and Lift Truck considered a strong asset;
- Knowledge of paper, graphic arts, and industrial products considered an asset;
- Strong communication skills (both oral and written);
- Proficient in Microsoft Office products;
- Ability to work under minimal supervision;
- Strong organizational and problem solving skills; and
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
Working Conditions
- Ability to lift up to 70lbs;
- Requires personal protective equipment;
- Manual dexterity required to use desktop computer and peripherals; and
- Work may require occasional weekend and/or evening work and periodic flexible shift changes (i.e. vacation coverage, etc.).
