We are seeking a results-driven and forward-thinking People & Culture Lead to manage the operational delivery of HR across our organization.
This role is a critical bridge between strategy and execution - translating the vision set by the Chief People Officer into impactful programs, practices, and day-to-day HR leadership across our Atlantic Canada operations.
The People & Culture Lead will oversee day-to-day HR operations while driving strategic initiatives that support organizational growth and employee engagement. This individual will act as a trusted advisor to leadership. We are looking for someone who is proactive, self-directed, and thrives in a fast-paced, evolving environment.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
1. HR Operations & Program Execution
- Translate HR strategy into actionable programs, processes, and initiatives
- Lead implementation of HR programs including performance management, health & safety, recognition, engagement, and talent initiatives
- Ensure consistency and effectiveness of HR practices across all locations
- Identify opportunities for process improvement and operational efficiency
2. Employee Relations & Advisory
- Act as the primary lead on employee relations matters, managing and resolving issues proactively
- Partner with leaders to address performance, conduct, and workplace concerns
- Escalate complex or high-risk cases to the CPO as appropriate
- Promote a positive, compliant, and high-performing work environment
3. Leadership Support & Business Partnering
- Serve as a trusted advisor to managers across multiple locations
- Coach leaders on performance management, employee engagement, and team effectiveness
- Support workforce planning and organizational changes at the operational level
- Provide direction, prioritize workload, and ensure high-quality HR service delivery
4. Employer of Choice Strategy
- Support the development and execution of GTI’s Employer of Choice strategy across all locations
- Monitor employee feedback, engagement data, and market trends to identify opportunities for enhancement
- Collaborate with leadership to ensure programs are effectively communicated, understood, and embedded into the employee experience
- Partner with the CPO to operationalize and continuously improve key components of the employee value proposition, including:

5. Recruitment & Talent
- Oversee recruitment strategy and execution for non-executive roles
- Ensure effective hiring processes and strong candidate experience
- Partner with leadership to meet workforce needs across regions
6. Culture, Engagement & Employer of choice strategy
- Support the rollout of culture and engagement initiatives across the organization
- Lead implementation of engagement action plans and local initiatives
- Drive adoption of new HR programs, policies, and organizational changes
7. Regional Presence & Travel
- Act as the visible HR leader across NB, NS, and Newfoundland
- Travel regularly to support branch leadership and employees
QUALIFICATIONS
- 8–10 years of progressive experience in Human Resources
- Demonstrated growth into increasingly senior HR roles
- Proven ability to take initiative and operate independently
- Strong leadership and people management skills
- Experience working in multi-location environments is an asset
- Solid understanding of employment laws across Atlantic Canada
- Bilingual in English and French (required)
- CPHR designation (or working toward) is considered an asset
WORK ENVIRONMENT
- 35 hour work week (Monday to Friday, 8:30 am to 4:30 pm)
- Combination of in office, remote or hybrid options available based on location.
