1. Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Cook to join our culinary team in Halifax . 2. Duties
- Prepare and cook a variety of menu items according to recipes and quality standards
- Assist with food handling, storage, and inventory management to ensure freshness and safety
- Maintain cleanliness of kitchen equipment, utensils, and work areas in compliance with food safety regulations
- Ensure proper food presentation and portion control for all dishes
- Follow health and safety guidelines related to food preparation and handling
- Collaborate with team members to deliver excellent food service experiences
- Assist in meal preparation during busy periods or special events as needed
3. Experience
- Prior experience in a restaurant or food service environment is preferred
- Knowledge of food preparation techniques, cooking methods, and kitchen equipment operation
- Familiarity with food safety standards and proper handling procedures
- Experience with meal preparation for large groups or in a commercial kitchen setting is advantageous
- Strong understanding of the food industry trends and customer service principles

4. Hourly Wage: $17.00 Plus 4% Vacation Pay
