
Manager, Facilities and Customer Service

The West Vancouver Facilities and Asset Division is currently seeking a Permanent Full-Time Manager, Facilities and Customer Service. Reporting to the Senior Manager, Real Property and Facilities, this position’s responsibilities include:
- Providing day-to-day operational leadership for maintenance scheduling, service request administration, and frontline facilities operations;
- Supervising applicable maintenance staff ensuring timely, safe and efficient delivery of services and preventative maintenance at the operational level;
- Scheduling and assigning facilities operations work to facilities maintenance staff, engineers and service providers involved in facilities operations;
- Coordinating and overing communications and workflow between Facilities and Assets department and the organization;
- Lead the end-to-end administration of the facility work order system; triage, prioritize and schedule maintenance and custodial work for staff and contractors;
- Oversee operational budgets and forecasts related to service delivery; monitor expenditures and contribute to departmental reporting;
- Manage and continually improve quality-control programs for custodial, waste management, access control, security and service request functions;
- Implement or support continuous-improvement initiatives, customer experience improvements and service-level monitoring for Facilities operations;
- Manage and implement the emergency management response and recovery procedures including updating emergency supplies;
- Oversee day-to-day operations of access control and security systems, coordinating with the Facilities Asset Project Manager on system upgrades and renewals;
- Participates in other duties and special projects as assigned.
The preferred candidate will possess:
- A diploma in Building Technology or related field, or equivalent combination of training and experience;
- Knowledge of building maintenance trades, operational preventive maintenance, pool operations, ice arena operations;
- Supervisory experience in scheduling, quality control, and contractor coordination within facilities operations.
- Proven ability to establish effective working relationships and deliver high-quality customer service across diverse stakeholders.
- Strong communication (oral and written), organization and problem-solving skills; proficiency with CMMS/work order systems and Microsoft Office;
- A valid unrestricted Class 5 BC Driver’s Licence.

Starting Rate of Pay:
$99,230 – $111,500 per annum (2025 rate)
