Accountant Our client is a manufacturing company in the Surrey, BC area.
We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Accountant to join their team, reporting to the Director of Finance. It is an on-site role.
The Accountant will be responsible for managing financial records, monitoring production costs, preparing financial reports, ensuring compliance with accounting standards, and supporting management with accurate financial information to drive business decisions.
Responsibilities:- Prepare and maintain accurate financial records and general ledger accounts with support of the team.
- Generate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements with the team.
- Reconcile bank accounts, inventory accounts, and balance sheet accounts.
- Assist with month-end and year-end closing processes.
- Monitor and analyze manufacturing costs, including labor, materials, and overhead
- Perform inventory reconciliations and support physical inventory counts.
- Assist in the preparation of annual budgets and financial forecasts.
- Collaborate with production, procurement, and operations teams to improve financial performance.
Requirements:- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- CPA designation or progress toward certification preferred.
- 3-5 years of accounting experience, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
- Strong understanding of cost accounting and inventory management.
- Proficiency in accounting software and ERP systems.
- SAP experience is an asset
Salary 80-100,000 depending on experience.
