About This Role
This role reports to the Marketing & Communications Manager. The Marketing and Communications Specialist will be responsible for developing, implementing and managing Marketing communications (MarCom) activities that support the local priorities of Socomec’s subsidiary in North America.
This role will vary in creating MarCom strategies, liaising with media professionals, and working closely with sales and marketing people from our five divisions to help them publicize and sell products and services in North America.
The MarCom plan will aim at increasing brand awareness, driving lead generation and supporting revenue growth in North America.
Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities
- Develop and manage strategic actionable marketing campaigns that directly support Socomec’s priorities in North America, including but not limited to: Trade shows (8-12 per year), advertising (online/offline), emails, Newsletter, LinkedIn, PR, SEO, SEA, etc.
- Manage, create and use of available resources to produce, deploy and monitor all actions including product launches, catalogs, email blasts, videos, leads
- Produce content for both print and web including the US website, partner portal, news, printed collaterals, internal communications and newsletters
- Collaborate with marketing managers in the divisions, sales team, technical support team and other key team members to ensure efficient product launches with high impact
- Partner with local marketing agencies in creating inbound marketing campaigns to support lead generation initiatives. (Blogging, value added content, nurturing emails…)
- Closely manage and optimize Marcom budget to align with organizational targets and objectives; complete reporting as required
- Negotiate with suppliers as part of managing budgets
- Ensure implementation and communication of the corporate brand awareness campaign
- Implement in conjunction with Socomec HQ, reporting for campaign analytics,
- Effectively utilize data analytics to develop key customer insights
- Support local projects, such as Sales meeting organization, local customer events, Rep council organization
- Implement steps to increase SOCOMEC US website users/sessions and increase lead conversions
Essential Qualifications, Experience, and Skills
- University degree or college diploma in Marketing or Communications
- 3+ years’ of experience in Marketing with emphasis in Digital Marketing
- Experience with trade shows and online & offline advertising
- Strong interpersonal skills to efficiently work with people from different cultures
- Superior verbal and written communication skills
- Analytical and detail-oriented
- Takes initiative / very proactive
- Extremely well organized; self-managed and always uses their time judiciously
- Manages multiple tasks while prioritizing work load
- Exceptional follow-up and follow-through; consistently sees tasks through to completion
- Meets deadlines considering time difference constraints
- Self-motivated, resourceful, and collaborative
- IT savvy and comprehends business systems and procedures
IT / PC Skills requirements
- Microsoft Office knowledge with emphasis on EXCEL, Word and Outlook
- Design/Canva skills
Preferred Qualifications
- French language
- Prior experience with WordPress, Pardot, Google Analytics, Mailup, Hootsuite and Google AdWords
