The Role
We are looking for a vibrant and dynamic Human Resources Officer to join the Client Services Team within the Human Resources Branch. The Human Resources Officer will be someone who shares our core values of Integrity, Excellence, Respect and Creativity.
The Human Resources Officer is part of a team of HR professionals who work with an assigned client group to provide support in a variety of HR disciplines to achieve NRC business goals and objectives. Working under the direction of a Human Resources Generalist, the primary duties of the position are to provide front-line HR services, advice and system support to their client.
Screening Criteria
Applicants must demonstrate within the content of their application that they meet the following screening criteria in order to be given further consideration as candidates:
Education
Degree from a recognized university or a college diploma with a specialization in a discipline related to Human Resources.

Experience
- Recent experience in the delivery of Human Resources operational services is required. Candidates should possess experience in two or more Human Resources discipline areas (e.g., staffing, labour relations, classification, human resources planning, learning, etc.).
- Recent experience in researching and providing advice and guidance on HR issues.
- Experience in drafting correspondence (related to providing advice, options, recommendations, information, etc.) and reports (i.e., written reports that may contain analysis from HRIS and/or other data).
- Experience in using a human resources management system (such as SAP or PeopleSoft) including data entry, maintenance, tracking and generating reports.
- Experience working in a complex work environment (experience in a unionized workplace would be an asset).

Candidates who do not possess a university degree but who have an acceptable combination of education, experience and/or training may be considered.

Compensation
From $79,467 to $88,205 per annum.
In addition, the incumbent will receive the Bilingualism Bonus of $800 per year.
