The Opportunity:
Are you an experienced, dynamic HR leader passionate about transformation, innovation, and building high-performing, inclusive teams? Join us as Senior Manager, Business Partnerships where you’ll shape organizational success by aligning HR strategies with business goals and leading a collaborative team.
Reporting to the HR Director, you’ll oversee workforce planning, employee and labour relations, and health and safety while building strong business partnerships and leading a team of five (5) HR leaders.
Key Responsibilities:
HR Strategy & Leadership
- Partner with senior leaders to develop HR strategies aligned with business goals.
- Lead strategic workforce planning and talent management initiatives.
- Serve as a trusted advisor on HR policies, practices, and employee engagement.
- Use HR analytics to drive continuous improvement and innovation.
Employee & Labour Relations
- Lead union negotiations and develop labour relations strategies.
- Provide guidance on conflict resolution, disciplinary actions, and grievances.
- Build collaborative relationships with union representatives and stakeholders.
Health & Safety
- Oversee health and safety programs to ensure a safe, compliant workplace.
- Lead investigations and implement preventive and corrective actions.
Team Leadership
- Lead and mentor a high-performing, diverse HR team.
- Foster a culture of collaboration, growth, and employee engagement.
What You Bring:
- Bachelor’s degree in HR, Business Administration, or related field (Master’s or legal degree preferred).
- 8+ years of progressive HR leadership experience.
- Proven expertise in labour relations and union negotiations.
- Exceptional interpersonal, strategic thinking, and communication skills.
- Professional certifications (CHRP, CHRL, CHRE) highly desirable.
- Strong analytical skills and experience in data-driven HR decision-making.
- Knowledge of health and safety standards and HR best practices.

In this role, you'll enjoy the flexibility of a hybrid work arrangement that includes a minimum of 2 days per week on-site. This means you'll have the ability to work off-site and on-site as needed, depending on operational needs. The frequency of on-site work may vary from week to week, depending on operational demands, which can evolve over time.
It's important to note that your off-site work location must be within the province of Ontario.
