The Opportunity
As Social Media and Marketing Coordinator you will provide key support to two critical pillars within the marketing department here at JENNY BIRD. The first will be our customer and community engagement champion on the front lines of our social channels. Supporting our influencer and creator program with product seeding will be complementary to this. This will be a key role in community building efforts through meaningful engagement and best in class customer support. Balancing your time between each key stakeholder is necessary for this role’s success. You’ll work directly with our Social Media Manager and Influencer Marketing Specialist.
Responsibilities:
- Posting across all social platforms in alignment with the GTM calendar and weekly social plans
- Oversee completion of monthly go to market calendar & share across the organization
- Supports SMM with social engaging and social listening on Instagram (replying to customer comments, liking tagged images and commenting on like-minded brand and influencer accounts)
- Supports Influencer Marketing Manager by seeking out, building and maintaining influencer and ambassador relationships
- Manage day to day customer inquiries through Instagram DMs in order to provide a superior experience for our community
- Supports seeding and creator placements by tracking, measuring, and reporting success of influencer marketing campaigns
- Supports Marketing team with planning and execution of brand events
- Sends out media and PR gifting packages (media mailers, shipping and deliveries)
- Weekly media monitoring for Press and Celeb site updates
- Monthly monitoring of affiliate marketing transactions
What you bring to the table:
- Recent graduate who is eager to develop their skills set at a fast-paced growing company
- Degree/diploma in business or marketing preferred
- Resourcefulness: You won’t always know the answer to a question, but you take pride in figuring it out
- Excellent time management and attention to detail skills
- Team player: able and willing to help out colleagues and leadership from all departments as needed
- Proficiency in Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Dropbox needed
- Experience in or interest for learning marketing analytic tools (ShopMY, LTK and DashHudson)
- A keen eye and visual aesthetic to continue to build the JENNY BIRD brand
- An openness to ongoing feedback
Location:
This role requires you to be in the office (East Room - located at 507 King East, Toronto, Ontario) 4 days a week, preferably Monday - Thursday.
