Fleet Manager to join our team in
Moncton, New Brunswick. Reporting to the Long-haul Operations Manager, this role is essential in managing a fleet of 35-45 company drivers, owner-operators, and third-party carriers. You will play a key role in ensuring the efficient, safe, and timely movement of freight while fostering strong relationships with drivers and maintaining operational excellence.

Essential Duties And Responsibilities
- Foster a positive environment of trust, open communication, and accountability within the Long-haul Fleet.
- Collaborate with all departments and terminals to remove barriers, ensuring seamless equipment and freight movement while minimizing costs.
- Partner with Armour’s Recruitment Team to optimize fleet utilization and reduce idle time.
- Maintain fleet compliance with all safety regulations and training requirements.
- Prepare detailed reports on performance metrics, customer, and employee productivity to support data-driven decisions.
- Work alongside the General Manager of the Long-haul Division to forecast equipment and staffing needs based on volumes and customer demand.
- Act as the primary contact for all customer service inquiries related to the Long-haul Fleet.
Education and Experience Criteria:
- Minimum of two (2) years’ experience in the transportation and logistics industry or a related field, or a combination of relevant work experience and education (e.g., CITT Supply Chain and Logistics Certification or equivalent).
- At least two (2) years’ experience in a dispatch role.
- Supervisory experience is an asset.
- Knowledge of the road transportation industry, including Atlantic Canadian geography and travel times, is a strong advantage.

- Experience and understanding of the TruckMate system are considered an asset.
Working Conditions
- Fast-paced, deadline-driven terminal/office environment.
- Flexibility to work variable shifts, including evenings, weekends, holidays, and extended hours when needed.
- High volume of communication via email, phone, and satellite systems.
