LOCATION: Hybrid Model – when working onsite, you will report to the location of City Hall
HOURLY RATE: Step 1 $21.48, Step 2 $22.40

Area Of Responsibility
Reporting to the Strategic Leader, Office of the CAO, provide project, program, and administrative support to the Office of the CAO. Ensures efficient and effective delivery of programs and services by providing direct functional support and responding to inquiries received by the Office of the CAO.
- Provide program assistance and support for departmental initiatives, programs, processes, projects, and events.
- Respond to inquiries/concerns and provide information regarding programs and services to meet departmental service standards.
- Independently fulfills administrative and program duties related to the work area, including correspondence, documentation, minute-taking, preparing memos and reports, and presentations.
- Supports project leads in planning, coordinating, implementing, and evaluating departmental policies, programs, and special events.
- Participates in working groups and brainstorming sessions to provide input, ideas, insights
- Assist with data entry and management.
- Perform qualitative/quantitative research and analysis in a technical and/or specialized discipline to identify trends, industry best practices, and opportunities for continuous improvement.
- Work with internal and external stakeholders to complete projects, where applicable.
- Prepares project and program updates for review by management.
- Maintain confidentiality based on the requirement to access and maintain sensitive sectional or departmental and organizational communication, reports, materials and records.
- Maintain an understanding of department programs and services.
- Understand, adhere to, and enforce Corporate Policies & Procedures, Confidentiality Guidelines, Emergency Procedures, and Health and Safety Standards.
Mandatory Requirements
- Students must be enrolled in a university or college. Proof of enrollment letter will be requested prior to the job offer.
Selection Criteria
- Student must be currently enrolled in a university or college Public Administration, Social Work, Business Administration, Public Policy, Human Resources, similar or equivalent program.
- Demonstrated working knowledge of discipline-specific principles.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Possess strong computer skills, e.g., MS Office programs, including MS Word and Excel.
- Ability to prioritize and excellent time management and organizational skills.
- Practical knowledge of applicable software(s) within discipline.

- Preference will be given to students that have a permanent residency in Brampton.
