Job Description
The
Operations Specialist serves as the primary point of contact for both customers and Sunbury Professional Drivers, ensuring that Kent Distribution Centre/Sunbury Fleet operations are conducted safely, efficiently, and with a high level of customer satisfaction.
Responsibilities
- Coordinate, confirm and dispatch all loads.
- Manage productivity of your fleet, ensuring appropriate level of miles and revenue are generated by each individual Driver, while taking into consideration strict Hours of Service regulations.
- Efficiently manage maintenance program.
- Ensure all pertinent system information is entered accurately and in a timely way to assist in managing the payroll and billing process.
- Professionally handle and manage all issues raised by Drivers.
- Manage availability of Drivers, and equipment to maximize efficient utilization, to influence cost saving opportunities and to exceed customer expectations.
- Promote and support all safety initiatives when performing roles and responsibilities.
Qualifications
- Successfully completion of a bachelor's degree is required.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal and negotiation skills.
- Must be team oriented and an independent self-starter.
- Proficient in the use of Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint. Experience TMW would be an asset.
- Experience in the Transportation industry would be considered an asset.
- Ability to speak French would be considered an asset.
