Our client, a leading Canadian financial institution, is looking for an eager Business/Data Analyst to join their team on a 6 month hybrid full time contract in downtown Toronto.

What Youβll Do
β Own Risk Reporting & Data Insights β Develop, automate, and maintain reports to track Key Risk Indicators (KRIs) and Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).
β Analyze Trends & Identify Risks β Monitor monthly reports, interpret data patterns, and provide meaningful insights to stakeholders.
β Automate & Optimize Reports β Enhance reporting efficiency using Excel (pivot tables, formulas), Power Query, VBA, or Python.
β Ensure Data Accuracy & Compliance β Work with teams to gather missing information, update records, and support regulatory reporting efforts.
β Create Clear Documentation β Develop procedure guides, process documentation, and reports to support business operations.
β Support Decision-Making β Help leaders make data-backed decisions by translating complex findings into clear, actionable recommendations.
What Weβre Looking For
β
1-3 years of experience in business analysis, data analysis, or risk reporting.
β
Strong Excel skills (pivot tables, formulas, data manipulation).
β
Experience in risk reporting and a strong understanding of KRIs/KPIs.
β
Ability to automate reporting processes (Power Query, VBA, Power BI, or Python is a plus).
β
Excellent written communication skills β You can create clear, concise documentation and reports.
β
Detail-oriented and proactive β You donβt just find issues; you solve them.
β
Willingness to work onsite in downtown Toronto twice per week (hybrid model).
Preferred but not required:
π Experience in third-party risk management, procurement, or vendor management.
π Familiarity with RSA Archer (GRC platform).
π Background in banking, compliance, or regulatory reporting.
The target hiring compensation range for this role is 25/hr-35/hr. Compensation is based on several factors including, but not limited to education, relevant work experience, relevant certifications, and location.
