Our client, a leading Canadian financial institution, is looking for an eager Business/Data Analyst to join their team on a 6 month hybrid full time contract in downtown Toronto.

What You’ll Do

✔ Own Risk Reporting & Data Insights – Develop, automate, and maintain reports to track Key Risk Indicators (KRIs) and Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).

✔ Analyze Trends & Identify Risks – Monitor monthly reports, interpret data patterns, and provide meaningful insights to stakeholders.

✔ Automate & Optimize Reports – Enhance reporting efficiency using Excel (pivot tables, formulas), Power Query, VBA, or Python.

✔ Ensure Data Accuracy & Compliance – Work with teams to gather missing information, update records, and support regulatory reporting efforts.

✔ Create Clear Documentation – Develop procedure guides, process documentation, and reports to support business operations.

✔ Support Decision-Making – Help leaders make data-backed decisions by translating complex findings into clear, actionable recommendations.

What We’re Looking For

✅ 1-3 years of experience in business analysis, data analysis, or risk reporting.

✅ Strong Excel skills (pivot tables, formulas, data manipulation).

✅ Experience in risk reporting and a strong understanding of KRIs/KPIs.

✅ Ability to automate reporting processes (Power Query, VBA, Power BI, or Python is a plus).

✅ Excellent written communication skills – You can create clear, concise documentation and reports.

✅ Detail-oriented and proactive – You don’t just find issues; you solve them.

✅ Willingness to work onsite in downtown Toronto twice per week (hybrid model).

Preferred but not required:

🌟 Experience in third-party risk management, procurement, or vendor management.

🌟 Familiarity with RSA Archer (GRC platform).

🌟 Background in banking, compliance, or regulatory reporting.

The target hiring compensation range for this role is 25/hr-35/hr. Compensation is based on several factors including, but not limited to education, relevant work experience, relevant certifications, and location.
