In this role, you will assess, recommend, and lead strategies/initiatives to optimize various elements across program lifecycle with a focus on competitiveness, internal efficiency, predictability, safety, quality, environment, etc. This role serves as the common senior resource across Repeatable Facilities portfolio accountable for leading ongoing and major ad hoc organizational initiatives. Providing strategic solutions to challenges and opportunities by challenging status quo, thinking with the end in mind, influencing and facilitating positive collaboration with the right people to optimize value and continuously improve. Recommending optimization strategies for various elements across program lifecycle with a focus on cost predictability, schedule predictability, internal efficiency, total cost savings, safety, quality, environment, etc. Championing development and implementation of various initiatives, lessons learned and other areas of continuous improvement on behalf of Repeatable team. Ensuring Business Unit (BU) priorities are reflected in programmatic plans and resolving Manager-level critical and strategic issues and concerns from across the Business Unit and Stakeholders, to meet priorities and achieve schedule, scope, and budget targets safely and reliably. Establishing and maintaining strong, collaborative working relationships with our sponsors and key stakeholders by knowing and understanding their needs and priorities and engaging and appropriately involving them in decisions and plans that affect them. Effectively communicating and demonstrating work performance to Sr. Leadership and the Business Unit relative to expectations (critical metrics, strategic objectives, goals, initiatives). Who you are: University degree, degree, diploma or related construction or operational training and/or experience. Candidates who do not possess a degree require an additional 3 years of experience (10 years). Minimum of 7 years progressively responsible working experience in the pipeline industry, including a strong working knowledge of pipeline engineering principles, industry standards, governmental regulations and complex detailed and/or project management experience. Experienced in leading large-scale workshops and steering committees. Must have exposure to Engineering, Construction and Field operations and familiar with industry codes, regulations, standards, and specifications. Predict obstacles, challenges, and risks to proactively determine mitigation strategies and innovative solutions to problems in a fast paced environment. Conveying a strong sense of urgency and driving issues to closure. Effective interpersonal skills which include, leadership, collaborative, team-oriented work style and the ability to influence without direct authority. Role requires a valid driver’s license, which will be verified with a motor vehicle check prior to hire. Working Conditions: Office environment. Up to 10% travel.
