Position Title: Business Analyst

- Role is still of a BA. BA/DA hybrid is needed now. SQL is a requirement. Advance experience is even better.

- Need a Data Analyst turned to Business analyst. Someone who wants to work as a BA in a technologically team.
- Someone who will be tech savvy.
Note: Candidates must be local as they are required to go into the office in Columbia, MD once a week on Thursdays.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Include the following. Other duties may be assigned:
- Define and document business requirements and produce technical specifications for deliverables.
- Communicate clear written specifications to data engineers.
- Work with stakeholders and subject matter experts from various backgrounds (clinical, business, technical, research).
- Assist in coordinating the Agile/Scrum process and work toward taking on a leadership role.
- Assist data engineers with testing and QA of deliverables to ensure alignment with requirements.
- Help the team solve complex problems by learning from and sharing knowledge with team members.
- Manage priorities and requests in an organized manner.
- Develop business knowledge of Insights data and workflows, understanding relationships between data sets.
- Maintain documentation of data sources, use cases, and output specifications.
- Qualifications

Required Skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to understand complex business use cases and translate them into detailed specifications.
- Ability to work with various stakeholders and subject matter experts from different backgrounds (clinical, business, technical).
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Familiarity with Agile methodologies.
- Experience with QA and testing processes.
Preferred Skills
- Intermediate proficiency in Jira.
- Intermediate proficiency in Excel.
- Foundational knowledge of SQL.
- Experience in healthcare IT or public health.
- Education and Experience Requirements
- 4-year college degree (preferred).
- 2-4 years of experience as a Business Analyst or in a similar role in the Data Analytics field (required).
